The St Saviour’s Scout Group, based at Shaftesbury Hall in Guildford, is a thriving and welcoming group for young people aged 6 to 14. We offer Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Scouts, providing a fantastic opportunity for boys and girls to learn new skills, make friends, and experience adventure in a safe and supportive environment.
We run a full and active programme focused on traditional Scouting activities, including hiking, camping, fire-lighting, cooking, pioneering, climbing, and kayaking. From an early age, our young people develop key Scouting skills, progressing through exciting camps, challenges, and activities under the guidance of our dedicated leaders.
Beyond adventure, we also encourage our members to give back to the community through service projects, encouraging a sense of responsibility and teamwork.
The Group is supported by a Trustee Board, which helps with administration and fundraising to keep our activities running smoothly. We also value the involvement of parents and families, who can participate in family camps, social events, and fundraising efforts. Occasionally, we ask for help with meetings, trips, transport, or preparing for camps—ensuring our Scouts can continue to thrive.
Whether climbing hills, lighting campfires, or making a difference in the local community, St Saviour’s Scouts is all about fun, friendship, and adventure. If you’re interested in joining or supporting us, we’d love to hear from you!
