St Saviour’s Scout Group is delighted to share that we have secured funding from Surrey County Council to carry out much-needed renovations to the hall during summer 2025.
The planned works include:
A brand-new kitchen with modern units and appliances
Replacement of the current boiler with a combi-boiler for more reliable heating and hot water
Complete refurbishment of the toilet facilities
We are hoping these improvements will greatly enhance the hall, making it a more welcoming and practical space. We look forward to seeing increased use by the local community and other charitable groups.
Help Us Win Tesco Stronger Starts Funding
St Saviour’s Scout Group has applied for funding through the Tesco Stronger Starts scheme. Our aim is to install a TV and soundbar in Shaftesbury Hall, enabling us to show videos, play music, and host presentations. This would be a fantastic addition for our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, and a real asset for local community groups, charities, and families who use the hall.
We’ve been shortlisted alongside two other local charities - and now it’s up to the public to decide how much funding each group receives: £500, £1,000 or £1,500, based on the number of votes.
How to Vote:
It’s simple – when you shop at a participating Tesco store, you’ll receive a blue token at the checkout. Just drop your token into the voting bin for St Saviour’s Scout Group to cast your vote.
Every vote really does make a difference, and we would be incredibly grateful for your support.
