Each of our sections- Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts- relies on volunteers to run, and we’re currently looking for more people to support our weekly sessions. Without enough leaders and helpers, we simply can’t offer the full programme to our young people.
We’d love to welcome more uniformed leaders, but you don’t need to commit to being there every week. Any time you can offer- whether regularly or occasionally- is hugely appreciated. You'll be joining a friendly, supportive team and helping to create meaningful experiences for local children.
If wearing a uniform isn’t for you, you can still get involved as an Occasional Helper. The only requirement is to complete a simple DBS check, which just involves providing a couple of forms of ID (e.g. a passport or driving licence, and a recent utility bill, bank statement, or council tax letter dated within the last 3 months).
If you're interested in helping, please speak to any of the section leaders.
Uniformed roles come with access to flexible online training and full support from the Scout Association.
